Tax Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

This Tax Policy explains how taxes are handled on ISV.me.

1. User Responsibility

ISV.me does not currently calculate, collect, remit, or file taxes on behalf of buyers or sellers unless we clearly state otherwise during checkout or in a written platform notice.

Buyers and sellers are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations, including income tax, VAT, GST, sales tax, use tax, digital services tax, withholding tax, and any local reporting duties that may apply to a domain transaction.

2. Platform Fees and Revenue

ISV.me may owe taxes on its own platform revenue, commissions, service fees, auction entry fees, forfeited auction deposits, or other income. Those obligations belong to ISV.me and are handled separately from a seller's or buyer's personal or business tax obligations.

3. Checkout Tax Status

At this stage, checkout may ask for a billing or tax country so we can keep better transaction records. Asking for that country does not mean ISV.me has calculated tax for the transaction.

Unless checkout displays a separate tax amount and says that ISV.me is collecting it, the displayed tax amount should be treated as not calculated.

4. Seller Income

Sellers are responsible for reporting income from domain sales where required by their tax authority. ISV.me may provide transaction history or exports to help users and administrators review completed transactions, but those records are not tax advice.

5. Buyer Obligations

Buyers may have reporting or self-assessment duties depending on their location, business status, and how the purchased domain is used. Buyers should consult a qualified tax professional for their jurisdiction.

6. Information Collection and Reporting

We may collect billing country, seller country, transaction amount, platform fees, donation amounts, refund status, and other transaction details for compliance, accounting, risk review, and legal reporting.

We may report transactions to tax authorities, payment processors, or other legally authorized parties when required by law or platform obligations.

7. Future Tax Automation

ISV.me may integrate a tax calculation provider such as Stripe Tax in the future. If that happens, checkout and this policy will be updated to show when tax is calculated, collected, and remitted by the platform.

8. No Tax Advice

Information on ISV.me is not legal, accounting, or tax advice. Users should consult a qualified tax advisor for their own situation.
